Rush River Small Axe Golden ale

I went to the old loft where I used to live last night to see a bike/poster show on the first floor, and spent some good quality drinking time with my odl friend Todd. I came armed with a six pack of Blue Moon already bought for me by another wonderful and generous contributor to buy-me-a- beer, and I think Todd got a little jealous and insisted that he buy me a beer himself. Now, I'm not one to turn down an act of generocity such as this, so I accepted.

Tod pulled out of his secret stash a bottle of Rush River Golden Ale. Rush River Brewing Co. Is considered a local beer, as it's not far across the border in Wisconsin, but I have never had this beer. After a few other beers and some crazy gallery crowd fighting, I can't say I can remember the subtleties of how the beer tasted, but I can tell you that I really really liked it. Rush River may not be the greatest beer in the midwest, but they've yet to let me down, and this one was no exception. Perhaps it was because it was sitting next to a whole batch of swill (miller and stellas), which made it seem so good. Either way, I liked it.

So anyway, thanks for giving me back that 20 bucks I loaned to you last night, I thought you were going to forget. And that aside, thanks for the beer. And also, I'm really glad you also have a gimpy bumpy shoulder from a drunken bicycling accident. It's good to know I'm not the only one!
